Innovation in Compounding


Jim Hrncir founded Las Colinas Pharmacy, Compounding & Wellness in 1984 and is recognised as a pioneer of modern pharmaceutical compounding. In 1986, he developed the first estradiol transdermal gel in the United States, advancing bio-identical hormone therapy (BHRT). He has since formulated numerous bio-identical hormones, dermatological, nutritional, and anti-ageing compounds used nationwide.

Recognition & Advocacy


He was named 2017 Compounding Pharmacist of the Year by Professional Compounding Centres of America (PCCA) and 2022 Pharmacist of the Year by Pharmacy Development Services. An APC Fellow and former board member of the Alliance for Pharmacy Compounding, Jim also consults for the Texas State Board of Pharmacy on USP and compounding standards. He testified before the National Academies of Science, Engineering and Medicine regarding an FDA-commissioned study on compounded bio-identical hormones.

A nationally recognised expert in BHRT and thyroid optimisation, Jim has appeared on The Dr Phil Show and contributed to Robin McGraw’s book What’s Age Got to Do With It?.

Technology, Education & Ongoing Work


Jim spearheaded the development of the OHB Integrative Medicine Assessment and Management Software (EMR) to support providers in BHRT, thyroid, and functional medicine. He also founded Optimum Therapeutic Solutions (OTS), a professional-grade supplement line. He continues to lecture nationally and provide advanced clinical training in hormones, thyroid care, low-dose naltrexone, peptides, and anti-ageing medicine.
