Dr Cory Tichauer is the owner and lead physician of Bear Creek Naturopathic Clinic in southern Oregon. A licensed naturopathic physician with more than 20 years of clinical experience, he focuses on treating chronic, complex illnesses. His work centres on overlapping conditions, including tick-borne and chronic infectious diseases, neurodegenerative disorders, environmental medicine, hypermobility and Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, mast cell activation syndrome, functional gastroenterology, and autoimmune or immune-inflammatory illnesses.
Since 2023, Dr Tichauer has served on the medical board of the International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society (ILADS), where he has been an active member since 2010. From 2017 to 2021, he was an elected board member of the Oregon Association of Naturopathic Physicians (OANP). He is also a member of the International Society for Environmentally Acquired Illness (ISEAI), the International Society for Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (ISMCAS), the International Hyperbaric Association (IHA), and the Ehlers-Danlos Society (EDS).
Dr Tichauer lectures nationally on tick-borne illness, immunotherapy, low-dose naltrexone, peptide therapy, and environmental medicine. He continues to conduct in-office research and recently published a paper on the use of high-dose intravenous vitamin C in Lyme disease. His individualised approach integrates standard prescription therapies with naturopathic interventions, guided by a vitalistic philosophy that addresses both the treatment of disease and the restoration of optimal health.
Outside of practice, Dr Tichauer enjoys travelling and hiking with his wife and two children. He also pursues scuba diving, live music, skiing, biking, fly-fishing, golfing, backpacking, fitness training, and playing guitar.
